Verses on Worldly Fear
1 Corinthians 15:51-58
Listen, I tell you a mystery: we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed-52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable,& we will be changed. 53 for the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable,& the mortal with immortality. 54 when the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable,& the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." 55" where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 56 the sting of death is sin,& the power of sin is the law. 57 but thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58
Therefore, brother & sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of The Lord, because you know that your labor in The Lord is not in vain.
Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod & your staff, they comfort me.
Isaiah 25:8
He will swallow up death forever. The sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people's disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.
John 5:25
Very truly I tell you, a time is coming & has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the son of God & those who hear will live.
Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall inherit the earth.
John 14:1
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.
1 Corinthians 15:19-22
If only of this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. 20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits, of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ, all will be made alive.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-15
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
